Virtual Programs Highlight Reel

What we do

GPA’s Virtual Programs team delivers live, interactive programming on a variety of digital State Department properties – including Facebook pages, Bureau/Embassy websites, the Virtual Programs Hub (this website), and Zoom sessions.

Interactive webchats, or virtual programs, connect experts from the U.S. government, businesses and private citizens with foreign publics around the world on topics related to U.S. foreign policy such as economic empowerment, security, human rights and disinformation. They provide a dynamic forum for open discussion and idea exchange.

What is the Virtual Programs Hub?

A place for U.S. Embassies, American Spaces, and those in the PD community at the US State Department to get information on programs produced by the Virtual Programs team.

Who can join our virtual programs?

Our public-facing webchats are accessible to anyone world-wide via an internet connection on a computer or mobile device, including in limited-bandwidth environments.

We encourage U.S. Embassies, American Spaces and third party Embassy partners to host viewing groups and have their audiences ask the experts questions. Check out our Tips for Hosting a Viewing Group and be sure to check our homepage for Upcoming Programs.

Where can I view past programs?

You can view past webchats on our YouTube channel or our most recent content on the Content Commons website.

Let us know what questions or ideas you have about our programs!
